Kazakhstan and Israel signed the Roadmap for Cooperation in the Field of Agriculture

In accordance with the instructions of the Head of State, the Kazakh delegation headed by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Minister of Agriculture Askar Myrzakhmetov paid a working visit to the State of Israel.

Astana. 6 April. Kazakhstan Today - The delegation included representatives of state bodies, NPP Atameken, NJSC NANOC, JSC NC Kazakhstan Engineering, JSC NC Prodkorporatsiya.

The main goal of the working trip is realization of the Message of the Head of the State N. Nazarbayev to the people of Kazakhstan "Third modernization of Kazakhstan: global competitiveness" in terms of execution of instructions on attracting foreign investments in agribusiness, achieving mutually beneficial bilateral agreements.

During the visit, A. Myrzahmetov met with the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of the State of Israel, a member of the Knesset (Parliament of Israel) from the party "Jewish House" Uri Ariel.

During the meeting, the parties signed the Road Map for Cooperation in the Agricultural Sector for 2017-2018 as part of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the State of Israel.

In addition, a Declaration of Intent to establish a commercial demonstration farm in Kazakhstan was signed. On the basis of this farm, a demonstration of technologies in various areas of agriculture is planned.

Also members of the delegation visited the country's largest research institute "Volcani center", which deals with new technologies in the field of agriculture. Programs of joint research and training of young specialists were discussed here.

Israel is one of the major exporters of fresh products and a world leader in agricultural technology.

A meeting with representatives of Israeli agribusiness in the format of a "round table" is planned to attract investment and export of domestic products.

In order to study the Israeli experience, members of the delegation will visit the largest agricultural cooperative "Granot" and a company for managing and saving water resources.
