Kazakhstan surveys twofold increase in automobiles' demand

There is a boost in light motor vehiclesИ production in the country. The number of a produced automobiles increased by 92 percent.
Kazakhstan’s population buy more automobiles. Thus, Energyprom.kz monitoring agency’s analytical survey shows that sales increased by 59 percent. It is interesting that 55percent of demand for automobiles accounts for Kazakhstan.

From January to May, the national auto industry released automobiles for 52.8 billion tenge, which is higher by 83.1 percent than a year ago.

Almost 91percent of production falls on the East Kazakhstan region (31.6 billion tenge, 2.3 times more than a year earlier) and Kostanay region (16.4 billion tenge, + 67.6 percent). Such companies as Asia Auto and SaryarkaAvtoProm are the leaders in these regions.

The output of light motor vehicles increased by 92.2percent per year, to 8.8 thousand cars. The number of produced buses is 11.1 percent more than in 2017 - 60 cars, trucks - by 10.6 percent less - 236.

According to Association of the Kazakhstan Auto business, Kazakhstani cars are cheaper than foreign cars by more than 55 percent. On average, the foreign car costs 10.8 million tenge, instead of 9.7 million tenge in January-April 2017 (+ 10.93 percent). The check for domestic cars for this period increased by 3.57 percent, from 4.6 million tenge in 2017 to 4.8 million tenge in January-April 2018.

Moreover, even the difference between the prices of imported and Kazakh cars of the same brand can be up to 20 percent. Domestic vehicle manufacturers have tax and customs privileges, which allows manufacturers to pursue a more flexible pricing policy and less sharply react to external factors.

The average check of the automobiles of Kazakhstan’s production increased due to availability in 2018 of such new models of automobiles as Hyundai Tucson (new body) and Kia Sportage.

During the first three months of 2018, imports accounted for 46 percent of demand for light motor vehicles (against 60 percent last year ), 89.7 percent of demand for buses and other vehicles for the transportation of more than 10 passengers, 93.4 percent of the truck market and 82.6 percent - special cars.
