Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev reviewed progress of reconstruction of Semey Airport

As part of his working trip to East Kazakhstan region Bakytzhan Sagintayev got acquainted with the progress of the reconstruction and the system of Semey International Airport, conducted within the framework of "Nurly Zhol" state program.

Astana. 17 March. Kazakhstan Today - The deputy mayor of the region S. Aktanov informed Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan about the progress of reconstruction of the airport, the runway of which will be extended from 2.7 km to 3.3 km. A new rescue station will also be built, and all types of communications will be replaced. In addition, B. Sagintayev was given a report on the operation of the airport security system.

It is worth noting that Semey Airport is geographically conveniently located for transit routes and after reconstruction it will be able to accommodate different types of aircraft, including cargo airliners. To date, the air harbor serves about 70 thousand people a year.
