Serik Akhmetov held bilateral talks with Astana Economic Forum participants

Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov met with RowschShaways, Deputy Prime Minister of Iraq. The parties discussed the expansion of trade and economic relations, especially in the spheres of oil and gas, agriculture, transport and logistics, education.

Almaty. May 27. Kazakhstan Today - Today, Kazakh Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov has held a number of bilateral meetings with the participants of the VI Astana Economic Forum.

According to the Prime Minister's official website, Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov met with RowschShaways, Deputy Prime Minister of Iraq. The parties discussed the expansion of trade and economic relations, especially in the spheres of oil and gas, agriculture, transport and logistics, education.

"Kazakhstan and Iraq have big potential for intensification of bilateral relations," Akhmetov stressed. He proposed the Iraqi side to create an intergovernmental commission in order to develop cooperation.

Rowsch Shaways expressed interest in the development of economic and trade interaction. "Our country stands for the deepening of business contacts with Kazakhstan, and we intend to continue to extend our mutually beneficial cooperation," he said.

The prospects of partnership in economic sphere, implementation of joint investment projects were discussed at a meeting with Vice President of the European Investment Bank Wilhelm Molterer.

The issues of cooperation development were also discussed between the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan and French Minister for Foreign Trade Nicole Bricq.
