SPECA Economic Forum to be held in Kazakhstan in November 2013

In November 2013 Kazakhstan will host the Economic Forum of the United Nations Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA) and the meeting of the SPECA Governing Council under the chairmanship of Kazakhstan and the Interstate Commission on Sustainable Development.

Almaty. July 18. Kazakhstan Today - The Economic Forum of the United Nations Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA) and session of the SPECA Governing Council under the chairmanship of Kazakhstan will be held in Kazakhstan in November, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed.

"In November 2013 Kazakhstan will host the Economic Forum of the United Nations Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA) and the meeting of the SPECA Governing Council under the chairmanship of Kazakhstan and the Interstate Commission on Sustainable Development," according to the Ministry, the Prime Minister's official website reported.

This was announced during the meeting of Kazakh Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand Marat Yessenbayev with United Nations Deputy Secretary General - ESCAP Executive Secretary Dr. NoeleenHeyzer.

During the meeting, special attention was also paid to Kazakhstan's initiative "Green Bridge", which is reflected in the partnership program "Green Bridge" aimed at the development of a green economy and the use of renewable energy for sustainable development.
