Astana. May 12. Kazakhstan Today - The deputies of Majilis of Parliament at the plenary session today passed the project of the Constitutional Law of Kazakhstan on introduction of the additions and amendments to some constitutional laws of Kazakhstan concerning modernization of the legislation in the sphere of guaranteeing activities of the first President of Kazakhstan - the nation's leader and the Kazakhstan bill on introduction of the amendments and additions to the Kazakhstan acts concerning modernization of the legislation in the sphere of guaranteeing the activities of the first Kazakhstan President - the nations' leader, the agency reports.

Majilismen, Rozakul Halmuradov, at the plenary session informed that "it has been proposed to add to the Criminal Code of Kazakhstan the new article 317-1. "This article states that hindering the lawful activities of the first President of Kazakhstan - the nation's leader, damage of his image, public insult, an effort to damage his honor or reputation, distortion of the facts of his biography are forbidden and prosecuted by the law."
