Kazakhstan purchased new-generation fighters from Russia

The execution of the contract on delivery Su-30CM fighters expires in 2020.
Russia will deliver a batch of Su-30CM fighters additionally to the delivered vehicles to Kazakhstan. The contract was signed within the framework of KADEX-2018 by director general of the corporation of Irkut Oleg Demchenko and director general of Kazspetsexport Arman Ramazanov, the press service of Irkut reports.

President of PJSC OAK and PJSC Corporation Irkut Yuri Slyusar noted that a new contract to deliver Russian Su-30CM fighters would facilitate to further development of cooperation between the two states.

A two-sit multi-target super-maneuverable Su-30CM fighter is the latest modification of Su-30. It was elaborated corresponding with the requirements of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation for weapons, systems of radiolocation, communication and recognition, other equipment. The aircraft is designed to gain dominance in the air, to block deep airfields of the opponent, to eliminate air, ground and sea targets. The combat load of Su-30CM is 8 tons," said Slyusar.


The aircraft has twelve suspension points that can be equipped with six controlled rackets to have air fights at the medium and short distances, uncontrolled air bombs of 500 or 250 kg, containers with uncontrolled aviation rackets. In addition to racket and bomb weapons, a 30-mm machine gun Gryazev-Shipunov GSh-301 is installed in the air craft.

The execution of the contract expires by 2020. The fighter joins the existing fleet of the same military vehicle that have been successfully operated by the Air Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
