Kazakhstan supports Mongolia's efforts to partake in SCO

Nursultan Nazarbayev met with President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga.
The head of state on behalf of the entire people of Kazakhstan and in person congratulated Khaltmaagiin Battulga on the victory in the presidential election and expressed the readiness of Kazakhstan to develop cooperation in all directions, an official website of the Akorda reports.

In the present year it is 25 years since the signing of the Treaty on friendship relations and cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and Mongolia. The document plays an important role in further development of relations between the states that have century-long traditions of friendship and good-neighbourliness," said Kazakhstan’s President.


In turn, Khaltmaagiin Battulga expressed gratitude to Nursultan Nazarbayev for congratulating on the election to the post of President of Mongolia, as well as on his birthday.

I attentively observe your work and know that you have created a new capital – the city of Astana. Taking the post of Minister of Construction I studied the experience of Kazakhstan. We also think about constructing the city of Maidar near Ulaaanbaatar," said the President of Mongolia.


At the end the head of state noted that firstly it is necessary to move the development of cooperation between the two states to a new level, and also underlined that Kazakhstan supports Mongolia’s efforts to take part in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Mongolia is an observer country in the SCO.

We note the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan is on a working visit to the People’s Republic of China. The head of state has taken part in the session of the heads of state – member states of the SCO that has been held in China’s city of Qingdao. In Beijing, the President of Kazakhstan has met with Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping in an expanded membership.
