Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan invited Director of the FBI to discuss issues of cooperation

Daulbaev sent an official request to Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation to the U.S. Ambassador, in which he proposed to discuss issues of cooperation on a number of criminal cases.

Astana. June 7 Kazakhstan Today - Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan Askhat Daulbaev met with the Ambassador of the United States of America to the Republic of Kazakhstan Kenneth Fairfax on Thursday, Kazakhstan Today reports.

According to the press service of the Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan, at the meeting, "A. Daulbaev sent an official request to Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation to the U.S. Ambassador, in which he proposed to discuss issues of cooperation on a number of criminal cases."

Also, according to the General Prosecutor's Office, during the meeting they discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral legal cooperation, including in the fight against crime. The sides expressed satisfaction with the development of bilateral relations.

According to A. Daulbaev, General Prosecutor's Office of Kazakhstan actively cooperates with U.S. authorities competent bodies on the principles of reciprocity in the sphere of fight against crime, legal assistance in criminal matters, extradition of criminals hiding.

"As the sides noted, the meeting would be another step towards achieving a higher level of cooperation between the legal systems of Kazakhstan and the United States," concluded the press service.
