Visit to National Pavilion of Finland with Sauli Niinisto, President of the Republic of Finland

Astana. 20 June. Kazakhstan Today - During the visit, the two leaders got acquainted with the expositions of FinlandИs National Pavilion and inspected KazakhstanИs Pavilion in "Nur Alem" Complex.

The leaders have held bilateral talks at the Congress Center of the exhibition complex as well.

The President of Kazakhstan thanked Sauli Niinisto for his personal visit and participation in the opening of FinlandИs Pavilion, noting the high level of the existing relations between our countries.

- Our relations can be called standard. We meet with you time and again at various world venues. Finland has supported us in choosing the venue for EXPO-2017, as well as obtaining the status of a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council. Kazakhstan always supports Finland in the international arena as well, Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

The Head of the State, emphasizing the importance of developing bilateral relations, expressed interest in strengthening relations in such areas as industry, pharmaceuticals, information technologies, education and medicine.

In his turn, the President of Finland expressed gratitude to Nursultan Nazarbayev for the meeting and noted the part of Kazakhstan in resolving pressing global and regional issues.

- I'm always interested in your opinion about not only bilateral relations, but also about global issues. Now practically the whole world follows the process of negotiations held in Kazakhstan. In particular, they are the Syrian negotiations on the Astana site, Sauli Niinisto said.

The President of Finland thanked the Head of the State for his personal visit to the National Pavilion and invited him to pay a visit to Finland.
