Cars of Official Taxi Services Have Started Using Bus Lane

Starting from June 13, 2017, official taxi services will be using specially designated bus lanes according to signs 5.9, 5.10.2, 5.10.3 of the Road Traffic Rules.

Astana. 13 June. Kazakhstan Today - Starting from June 13, 2017, official taxi services will be using specially designated bus lanes according to signs 5.9, 5.10.2, 5.10.3 of the Road Traffic Rules.

At the press conference in the capitalИs MayorИs Office, the rights of registered taxi services access to Bus Lanes were explained. In accordance with the Rules for Passengers and Luggage Transportation in the capital, companies carrying out transportation shall sign an agreement with Astana Office of Passenger Transport. After that, information on registered vehicles shall be transferred to the City Office of Administrative Police for its inclusion in the register of vehicles that have the right to travel on the bus lanes. Today, thisprocedurehasalreadybeencompleted by 13 taxicompanies.

- A general city brand of "Astana Taxi" was created. WeИve been inviting taxi companies and transport workers to our office: in the very beginning of the work, 7 companies joined us, now there are 13 of them. The total number of cars is 414 units; another 60 cars are under registration procedure. Sketches, distinctive marks have been developed. So those private businessmen, who, let say, just did not put a TAXI cap on their car, do not have the right to drive through Bus Lane, - the Head of Astana Office of Passenger Transport Bekmyrza Igenberdinov explained.

The penalty at a rate of (11 345 tenge) shall be imposed for violation of the Traffic Rules and illegal exit to public transport lanes; in case of repeated violation, the penalty will be 10 MCI (22 690 tenge).

- In the near future, there will be about three thousand CCTV cameras installed to record offenses in the city. All the committed violations will be recorded automatically and sent to the processing center of administrative management practices", - said Nurlan Uvayev, the Deputy Head of the Office of Administrative Police of Astana DIA.
