Government of Kazakhstan summed up the results of the UNT in a new format

Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Sagadiyev reported that this year the UNT was held in a new format and was divided into two procedures: the final certification, as the final examination in schools and the entrance examination to universities. This format was developed as a result of an analysis of the international experience of Japan, Israel and the United States.

It should be noted that in the content part of the UNT were submitted tests aimed at determining the level of logical thinking, basic competencies and the ability to further learning, that is, functional literacy.

In addition, for the first time this year an online test broadcast was launched. This allowed all those who wanted, to watch the process from anywhere in Kazakhstan, which significantly reduced the number of violations.

In total, 88 595 people took part in the UNT, which was 95% of the total number of applicants. As a result of testing, the average score for the country was 80.5 out of 140 possible. Last year, this indicator was 81 out of 125. The threshold level of 50 points was overcome by 74,517 graduates, which is 84%.

Complex testing was conducted from July 17 to July 23 in 48 locations on the basis of higher education institutions. 54 649 applications were submitted for participation, while in fact 50 416 people participated in the testing. The threshold level of 50 points was overcome by 21,078 or 42% of the total number of graduates.

Those who have not overcome the threshold score will be able to pass the test again. The documents will be accepted from August 1 to August 8, and the testing itself will take place from August 19 to August 24. In case of not overcoming the threshold level on repeated testing, the possibility of enrolling in a university for one semester on a fee basis will be given.
