There is lack of the special schools in the country for the organization of effective prevention of juvenile delinquency. Now according to Kazakhstan MINISTRY of EDUCATION and SCIENCE there are only 7 schools with 370 beds for children with deviant behavior. This is clearly insufficient. Over the past 15 years in regions such special schools for juvenile delinquents," K.Kassymov said.

The police registered over 6,000 juveniles, which have to be sent to the special organizations. Threre are 2412 abonded and street children, alcohol- over 400, out of school-3, 888.

According to the Minister, a serious concern is the fact that the whole country has only one special school of closed type in East Kazakhstan for re - education of juvenile delinquents before reaching the age of criminal responsibility.

"So now we don't have the possibility to isolate the society from juvenile delinquents, who exceed up to 1,600 people. They live in the same place where they had committed a crime. Definitely cause negative reactions from both the victims and society. It is clear that not everything in the fight against juvenile delinquency depends on the police. This work should attract the workers of the education, health, culture and sports spheres, many social groups," the Minister added.
