Kazakhstan's film director detained in Iran

Director, documentary filmmaker Kanat Baisekeyev intends to shoot a film about Kazakhs in Iran.
In Iran, Kazakhstan’s filmmaker Kanat Beisekeyev was detained. It was said by Kazakhstan’s PR specialist Alisher Yelikbayev.

He was detained by the Iranian police, everything was confiscated. I do not know what happens next. I think that Kanat should arrive and tell everything by himself. But, it is normal that documentary filmmakers are detained by police. There is nothing critical about it, but the property for several thousands of dollars was confiscated. I do not know whether they will return it or not, more likely that the answer is not. Before he shot Kazakhs in Mongolia, Tukey and thought that everything would be smooth in Iran. I believe that in the near future he will return back to Kazakhstan," said Yelikbayev.

We note, Kanat Beisekeyev is an author of a cycle of documentary films about the Kazakhs leaving abroad.
