For the current academic year, 9 civil servants from Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia were enrolled, the press service of the Agency for Civil Service Affairs and Anti-Corruption of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.

According to rector of the Academy Fatima Zhakupova, training of foreign civil servants in the Academy is carried out by the expenses of the state educational order for civil servants of the countries of the Regional hub, by the allocation of grants of the Hanns Seidel Fund and training of foreign civil servants by the expenses of UNDP.

With the aim of promoting modern Kazakhstan's standards of training personnel in the field of public administration and strengthening regional cooperation and security, the Academy provides training for foreign civil servants through grant programs. It should be noted that 20 foreign graduates trained under the Hanns Seidel Foundation grant advanced on the career ladder after receiving a master's degree in the Academy, specializing in state and local administration," says the report.

In view of the increased interest in studying at the Academy, at present the possibility of enrollment of civil servants at the Academy from Macedonia and Uzbekistan is under consideration.

As part of the training of foreign civil servants at the expense of the United Nations Development Program in 2017, two diplomats from Tajikistan graduated from the Academy under the Master's program "International Relations".

According to the UN estimate in 2017, the Academy is recognized as one of the most reliable partners of the United Nations Development Program in Kazakhstan.

The Academy, along with the training of foreign civil servants, is working to train Kazakh civil servants through grant programs. To this end, the funds of foreign partners of the Academy are attracted.

Thus, starting from 2010, 93 civil servants of the Republic of Kazakhstan were trained at the Academy by grants of the United Nations Development Program, the Hanns Seidel Fund, the French companies Total and Vicat (France), Arcellor Mittal (Belgium/India), and 11 civil servants will finish their education this year.

There are already 70 masters in public administration from Kazakhstan who were trained be the expenses of the Hanns Seidel Fund.

Also, from 2011 to 2013, the Academy implemented joint projects with foreign multinational companies to train Kazakh civil servants. Thus, Vicat and Arcellor Mittal allocated 2 grants, Total - 19 grants.

In general, the work on training foreign and Kazakh civil servants through grant funds makes it possible to form an international professional network among civil servants of the region.
