Teachers of Almaty urged to explain the timeliness of transition to the Latin alphabet

According to Zhantleu Aziskhanov, president of the Almaty Association of Colleges, the education sector employees should explain the issue of transition to the Latin alphabet to the population. He invited his colleagues to go to apartments, to houses, and also to conduct explanatory work wherever they were, for example, in buses.

Almaty. September 16. Kazakhstan Today - In Almaty, at an enlarged meeting of educators, the transition of the Kazakh language into Latin alphabet was discussed, the agency reports.

According to Zhantleu Aziskhanov, president of the Almaty Association of Colleges, the education sector employees should explain the issue of transition to the Latin alphabet to the population. He invited his colleagues to go to apartments, to houses, and also to conduct explanatory work wherever they were, for example, in buses.

The president of the association also noted that there will be difficulties in this work and asked the teachers to treat the discussed issue in the most serious way.

"We hope that until 2022 we will be able to mobilize all forces so that our children and our citizens do not feel any difficulties in this matter," concluded Aziskhanov. In the course of his speech, he stressed the timeliness and necessity of transition to the Latin alphabet.

Teacher with a great experience Ayagul Mirazova drew attention to the fact that young people in Kazakhstan learn English and easily write and read Latin letters.

"They say that the older generation will have difficulties in learning. Let's take me as an example - I learned German, where the Latin alphabet is used," Mirazova stressed.

Heads of the city schools also took part in the event, and discussed various aspects of the transition of the Kazakh language to the Latin alphabet.
