The results of the competition among journalists on "City of thousands colors" are summed up in Almaty

Mayor of Almaty Bauyrzhan Baibek, Vice Minister of Information and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alan Azhibayev, as well as heads of the leading mass media of the country awarded the best representatives of the megapolis in the information sphere.

Almaty. June of 16th. Kazakhstan Today - The winners of the city competition "Myn boyauly kala - City of thousands colors" were awarded shortly before Communications Workers' Day in Almaty, Kazakhstan Today informs.

Mayor of Almaty Bauyrzhan Baibek, Vice Minister of Information and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alan Azhibayev, as well as heads of the leading mass media of the country awarded the best representatives of the megapolis in the information sphere.

According to the mayor administration, the competition was held in seven nominations: The Best printed media publications, The Best news agency (Internet resource) publication, The Best radio story, The Best publication in social networks (bloggers narratives), The Best photo content; The Best infographic and The Best Television spot.

Dinara Zheldibayeva, journalist of the newspaper "Turkistan" won the category "The Best newspaper material". The music editor of the radio "Astana" Aigerim Bilyalova and the journalist of "Kazak radiosy" Aman Tasygan have shared the prize in the nomination for the best radio material. Editor of the site of the World Association of Kazakhs Yerlik Kekbekbai took the prize for the best material in the Internet resources. The best in infographics has become the general director of design bureau "IGRAPHIC" Baglan Aidashov. Zhanna Akhmetova published the best post in social networks, the work of Maxim Zolotukhin was recognized in the nomination of the best photo content, and in the nomination "The best television spot" the journalist of the Almaty branch of Agency "Khabar" Ulan Narynbek and the journalist of the "Astana" TV channel Adil Onerbaev were awarded.

Mayor of Almaty Bauyrzhan Baibek also visited the new modern pavilion of the "Almaty" TV channel, the area of which is more than 500 square meters.

Over the past year and a half, work has been done to modernize the channel: the equipment and production line have been converted to a digital format of 16x9 high definition, modern television equipment has been purchased for a total of KZT 1.2 bn. from well-known world producers.

Today, the "Almaty" TV channel has a mobile television station with the ability to go live from anywhere in the city and show any complex events. The coverage area of the channel has expanded throughout the country, making it available in all broadcasting networks - analogue, digital, satellite, cable and Internet.

In the current year, the share of the TV viewing channel according to the agency "TNS Gallup Media" has grown by 26% compared with 2015.

All this makes the TV channel "Almaty" more attractive for advertisers. Therefore, by the end of 2016, the channel's own income grew by 112%, amounting to KZT 256 million. For the first time since its creation, the channel has shown positive financial activity. With the introduction of a new studio pavilion equipped with the modern equipment, the broadcasting of the Almaty channel is moving to a qualitatively new level, the press service of the mayor administration noted.
