Almaty. February 19. Kazakhstan Today - The crisis may affect preparations for the Asian Games 2011 in Kazakhstan, the agency reports citing television channel KTK.

"The crisis may affect preparations for the Asian Games 2011 in Kazakhstan. Construction of the sports objects in Almaty has been frozen within two months. The budget of Asian Games 2011 has run out of money and the new receipt from the state treasury will be only in March. But the officials assure that construction and repair works will be finished on time," the television channel informs.

According to the television channel, the Asian Games 2011 will be held in two cities of Kazakhstan. The major part of the competitions - biathlon, mountain skiing, female hockey, sports orientation, Russian hockey, snowboard, and the closing ceremony of the Asian Games will be held in Almaty. The competitions will start in Astana. The skaters and hockey players will compete here. Participation of about thousand sportsmen from 21 countries is expected in the Asian Games 2011.
