Astana. January 14. Kazakhstan Today - The chairman of Fund of National Welfare Samruk-Kazyna, Kayrat Kelimbetov, said the Development Bank of Kazakhstan plans to refinance the projects for the sum of $400 million in the first quarter of 2009, the agency reports.

"The Development Bank of Kazakhstan refinanced the projects of the second-tier banks for the total sum of $350 million and in the first quarter we plan to refinance the projects for the sum of $400 million," K. Kelimbetov said.

More than 20 projects for a total cost of $16.7 billion with the total amount of the state support of $4 billion are for consideration of the fund. "These are the projects in the area of power, transport infrastructure, oil-and-gas branch, and manufacturing industry," K. Kelimbetov informed.
