Astana. December 22. Kazakhstan Today - The Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan has created the commission to reveal the reasons of infection of leukaemia children with hepatitis C, following the results of the government session, the Minister of Health of Kazakhstan, Zhaksylyk Doskaliev, informed, the agency reports.

Answering the question regarding the facts of infection of leukaemia children with hepatitis C through blood transfusion, Z. Doskaliev said, "The commission is working, but what the mothers of infected children (150 cases) said could not happen."

"We are now carefully verifying it all. As for donors, we have archival samples of blood since 2003. We do not have any problems with donors' blood," the minister noted.

The Minister of Health promised to hold the press conference next week.

As informed earlier, mothers of leukaemia children said at the press conference in Almaty that their children had been infected with hepatitis C during blood transfusion in hospitals.
