Astana. July 23. Kazakhstan Today - 941 HIV-infected people were revealed in Kazakhstan in January - May, 2009 (January - May, 2008 - 990), the monthly report of the Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan informs.

164 HIV-infected people were revealed in May, 2009 as compared to 200 people in May, 2008.

According to Republican Sanitary Epidemiological Station, the number of cases of rotavirus enteritis has increased by 46. % in Janury-May, 2009, bacterial dysentery - by 1.2 %, and echinococcosis - by 23.4 %. In May, 2009 in comparison with May, 2008, the number of cases of rotavirus enteritis has increased by 3.2 times, bacterial dysentery - by 31.3 %, and echinoccosis - by 11.7 %.
