ArcelorMittal in I half of 2009 lost $1.8 billion

Loss of the world's largest steelmaking company ArcelorMittal in I half of 2009 has been $1.855 billion KZT as compared to $8.210 of net profit for the similar period of last year, the agency reports citing financial report of the company published today.

Almaty. July 29. Kazakhstan Today - Loss of the world's largest steelmaking company ArcelorMittal in I half of 2009 has been $1.855 billion KZT as compared to $8.210 of net profit for the similar period of last year, the agency reports citing financial report of the company published today.

According to ArcelorMittal, II quarter the company has finished with a loss of $792 million as compared to the profit of $5.839 billion during the corresponding period of 2008.
