Belarus businessmen to visit Kazakhstan 8-14 October

Belarus is Kazakhstan's third biggest trading partner in imports among the CIS states behind Russia and Ukraine. In 2011 the bilateral trade totaled almost $770 million.

Almaty. September 28. Kazakhstan Today - The Minsk Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) is organizing a visit for Belarusian businessmen to Astana and Karaganda, Kazakhstan, on 8-14 October.

The trip supported by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Astana and Karaganda in cooperation with the Embassy of Belarus in Kazakhstan is meant for presenting the potential of Belarusian companies and organizations to Kazakh partners, finding new and strengthening the existing business contacts, establishing mutually-beneficial cooperation BelTA learnt from the BCCI Office in Minsk.

The program of the trip will embrace bilateral talks and meetings with city authorities, tours of companies and a visit to the International Fashion Industry Expo.

Belarus is Kazakhstan's third biggest trading partner in imports among the CIS states behind Russia and Ukraine. In 2011 the bilateral trade totaled almost $770 million. In January-July 2012 the trade reached $553.3 million, up 18.7% over the same period a year ago. Over the first seven months Belarus' exports to Kazakhstan increased by 27.3% to nearly $480 million, imports from Kazakhstan contracted by 17.3% to make up $73.9 million.

Belarus' main exports to Kazakhstan are threshing equipment, tractors and tractive units, tyres, milk and dairy products, sugar, frozen beef, furniture, trucks, wooden and plastic goods. Belarus imports Kazakh wheat, crude aluminium, copper scrap, bearings, trucks, phosphor salt, oil products, electric accumulators.
