Caspian Pipeline Consortium increased oil export by 11.7 %

Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) in January - May, 2009 has increased export of oil from the terminal Southern Ozereyka-2 by 11.7 % in comparison with the similar period of the last year, the agency reports citing KTK.

Moscow. June 1. Kazakhstan Today - Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) in January - May, 2009 has increased export of oil from the terminal Southern Ozereyka-2 by 11.7 % in comparison with the similar period of the last year, the agency reports citing KTK.

According to the company, 14 million 324.82 thousand tons of oil have been transported through CPC system to the port in Novorossisk in January - May, 2009 as compared to 12 million 826.75 thousand tons for the similar period of 2008.

2 million 706.73 thousand tons of oil were shipped in May, 2009 that is by 0.9 % more than in May, 2008 (2 million 682.74 thousand tons).

The Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) connects Kazakhstan deposit Tengiz to the export terminal near Novorossisk port in the Black Sea. The extent of the pipeline system - 1.58 thousand kilometers.
