China, Central Asian countries agreed on volumes of natural gas transit in 2011

China and the Central Asian countries have agreed to pump over 17 billion cubic meters of natural gas in 2011, the news agency Reuters citing the corporate newspaper China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) China Petroleum Daily.

Almaty. September 20. Kazakhstan Today - China and the Central Asian countries have agreed to pump over 17 billion cubic meters of natural gas in 2011, the news agency Reuters citing the corporate newspaper China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) China Petroleum Daily.

According to Reuters, this volume equals to 20 % of all internal gas production in China.

The coordination committee of the Central Asia gas pipeline, passing through Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and China, has offered concrete plans of monthly delivery of gas to China, taking into account the service schedule in the winter of 2010 and 2011, China Petroleum Daily informed.

CNPC, the operator of the transboundary pipeline stretching for almost 2000 kilometers through Central Asia up to the Chinese territory in the northwest province Sintszyan, has increased its capacity of 24.5 million cubic meters a day (nearly 9 billion cubic meters a year).
