Commodity turnover between Russia and Kazakhstan, following the results of 2007, exceeded $16.5 billion.

Astana. February 13. Kazakhstan Today - Commodity turnover between Russia and Kazakhstan, following the results of 2007, exceeded $16.5 billion. The sales representative of the Russian Federation in Kazakhstan Andrey Rudenko informed today during opening of the exhibition KazOilGas - 2008, the agency reports referring to the trade mission of the Russian Federation in Kazakhstan.

Following the results of 2007, commodity turnover of Russia and Kazakhstan exceeded, according to the Russian statistics, $16.5 billion," A. Rudenko informed.

"It demonstrates close contacts that our republics have. This exhibition will assist development of our business partner relations and innovative processes in fuel and energy complex," he noted.

As it was informed earlier, on December, 21 2007, the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, making speech in Moscow for the faculty of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, forecasted that, following the results of 2007, volume of bilateral commodity turnover will increase by more than 30 % and will reach $16 billion," N. Nazarbayev emphasized.
