Congress of World Gas Producers opened in Turkmenistan

The work of the First International Turkmen Gas Congress, TGC-2010 started its work yesterday in Ashkhabad in palace Sergi Koshgi of the National Exhibition Centre. Kazakhstan Today - The work of the First International Turkmen Gas Congress, TGC-2010 started its work yesterday in Ashkhabad in palace Sergi Koshgi of the National Exhibition Centre. There will be an exhibition of equipment, technologies and services for the gas industry, the agency reports citing information portal TURKMENinform.

The first forum in the history of Turkmenistan of such scale is called to emphasize an increasing role of Turkmenistan as one of the world leaders of stocks of natural gas and manufacture of hydrocarbonic fuel, has been organized by the state concern Turkmengas with the support of the cabinet of ministers and the Ministry of Oil, Gas and Mineral Resources of Turkmenistan, Commercial and Industrial Chamber of Turkmenistan and the international company for organization of exhibitions Summit Trade Events Ltd. Among the congress partners - world famous companies British Petroleum, German RWE, American Chevron and Honeywell.

Among the participants of the congress there will be representatives of Dragon Oil, Hyundai Engineering, Eni, Shell, StatOil, OMV, Wintershall, CNPC, KOGAS, PricewaterhouseCoopers, ExxonMobil, Gaffney Cline and Associates, Open Company GasTechLeasing, the Bulgarian power holding and others.

More than 500 delegates from 20 countries of the world are taking part in the forum in Ashkhabad. The representatives of the large international gas organizations will make reports on the questions of development of natural gas deposits and gas condensate in Turkmenistan, including extraction, processing and transportation to the home market and foreign consumers.
