Construction of tourist complex started in Burabai special economic zone

The complex includes construction of a hotel, restaurants, spa-centers, marinas and the other facilities for entertainment and recreation.

Almaty. July 3. Kazakhstan Today - Construction of a new tourist and entertainment complex near Lake Shchuchye was started within the framework of development of special economic zone Burabai, Kazakhstan Today reports.

According to the Prime Minister website, delivering his annual Address to the Nation "Socio-economic modernization - main direction of development of Kazakhstan" President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev gave instructions to develop a plan on development on Burabai resort area in Akmola region.

The tourist complex near Lake Shchuchye is a part of the plan on development of Burabai resort area. The complex includes construction of a hotel, restaurants, spa-centers, marinas and the other facilities for entertainment and recreation. The implementation period is up to 12 years, till 2012 and includes 7 stages. The facilities under construction are already connected to water supply network.

Currently, construction of the hotel meeting all the international standards has begun. It will have standard rooms and suites, two restaurants, 4 conference rooms and others.

As earlier reported, special economic zone Burabai is located in the territory of Shchuchinsk district of Akmola region and makes 370 hectares.

The purpose of establishing the special economic zone is creation of highly effective and competitive tourist infrastructure which will meet all the international standards to satisfy the requirements of foreign tourist arriving in Kazakhstan.
