Council on Competitiveness created in Kazakhstan

Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan signed a decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan of September 5, 2012 № 1142 "On creation of the Council on Competitiveness of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan".

Astana. September 11. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan has established the Council on Competitiveness, Kazakhstan Today reports.

Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan signed a decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan of September 5, 2012 № 1142 "On creation of the Council on Competitiveness of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan", the information office of the Ministry of Justice informed.

The resolution states that the Council on Competitiveness under the Government of Kazakhstan is a standing advisory body based on a partnership between the public and private sectors. The Council is established to develop proposals and recommendations on the fundamental principles, objectives and means of improving the country's competitiveness. Council's activities aimed at ensuring the cooperation of state bodies, business community, academics and non-governmental organizations to jointly develop practical proposals and recommendations for the establishment of effective mechanisms for increasing the country's competitiveness.

The Council have the right in the established order to request and receive from the government agencies and other organizations the materials and information needed to carry out its activities; to invite government officials and representatives of other organizations to Council meetings and hear them on the considering issues; to attract specialists, experts and scientists to analyze and study the issues as necessary; carry out systematic consultations with all institutional entities.

Prime Minister Karim Massimov is the Chairman of the Council.
