Customs Union documents expected to be signed in Moscow

The prime ministers of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia are expected to sign the documents on formation of the Customs Union at the session of Interstate council of the Eurasian economic community, which will take place in Moscow today, EurAsEC press service informed the agency.

Kazakhstan Today - The prime ministers of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia are expected to sign the documents on formation of the Customs Union at the session of Interstate council of the Eurasian economic community, which will take place in Moscow today, EurAsEC press service informed the agency.

"The agenda of the session of the Interstate council includes further formation of the Customs Union created within the limits of EurAsEC. According the decision accepted by six presidents of the states of the Community at the session of the Interstate EurAsEC council in Dushanbe on October 6, 2007, the prime ministers of Belorussia, Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation will sign at the session of the Interstate council the documents, which have been directed at creation of contractual-legal base of the Customs Union," the press service informed.

The prime ministers of three countries will sign nine projects of the international contracts. These international agreements, first of all, are directed at establishment of the unified mode of commerce with the third countries, they define a design of the future customs union and provide gradual transfer of powers on regulation of foreign trade activity of the Commission of the customs union.

According to the source in Kazakhstan government, the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov will take part in the work of the session of the Interstate EurAsEC council.
