Almaty. September 11. Kazakhstan Today - Direct aircraft service between Kazakhstan and Malaysia will be resumed till 2010. The Malaysian Ambassador to Kazakhstan Tan Thai Hing informed on Monday at the press conference in Almaty.

According to Tan Thai Hing, the main obstacle for opening flight from Kazakhstan to Kuala Lumpur is shortage of planes. The President of Air Astana Peter Foster has promised that next year this flight will be the first on the list after they buy the planes," he added.

The diplomat informed that at present Malaysian airline and Air Astana are considering an opportunity of opening the flights to the capital of Malaysia through Bangkok. "The problem connected with these flights through Bangkok is that the flights have been booked 3 - 4 months in advance," he explained.

Tan Thai Hing reminded that in the end of 2003 - the beginning 2004 Air Kazakhstan Company had regular flights from Almaty to Kuala Lumpur, "but, unfortunately, after two months due to the difficulties arose in the company, these flights had to be closed."
