Direct foreign investments to be expected of significant level

Direct foreign investments into the economy of Kazakhstan is expected to be of significant level in 2009. Vice Minister of Economy and Budgetary Planning of Kazakhstan, Timur Suleymenov, informed at III Annual Fitch Ratings Conference on Kazakhstan, the agency reports.

Almaty. April 21. Kazakhstan Today - Direct foreign investments into the economy of Kazakhstan is expected to be of significant level in 2009. Vice Minister of Economy and Budgetary Planning of Kazakhstan, Timur Suleymenov, informed at III Annual Fitch Ratings Conference on Kazakhstan, the agency reports.

"Investments will be significant and there will be no sharp drops," T. Suleymenov said. Direct foreign investments into the economy of Kazakhstan will be about $10 billion."

"The part of them will be used for break-through projects and the most part is, certainly, for oil-and-gas sphere," Vice Minister explained.
