Economic demand for crude oil to be reduced by 1.65 million barrels per day

The experts of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) left the forecast of reduction of global demand for crude oil for 2009 unchanged. OPEC monthly report of the situation in the world oil market published today states, the agency reports citing ITAR-TASS.

Almaty. August 12. Kazakhstan Today - The experts of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) left the forecast of reduction of global demand for crude oil for 2009 unchanged. OPEC monthly report of the situation in the world oil market published today states, the agency reports citing ITAR-TASS.

According to OPEC report, the economic demand for crude oil will be reduced in 2009 in comparison with the previous year by 1.65 million barrels per day and will total 83.91 million barrels.

According to the analysts of the cartel, the condition of the economy will, most likely, not improve until the end of 2009. The recession will remain at the level of July forecast and will be minus 1.4 %. The forecast for the next year has been changed towards improvement by 0.1 %. The rates of economic development in 2010 may reach 2.4 %.
