Emergency Ministry warned Arcelor Mittal of possibility of withdrawal of subsoil use right

The Ministry of Emergency of the Republic of Kazakhstan has warned Arcelor Mittal Temirtau Company of a possibility of withdrawal of subsoil use right. The Emergency Minister of Kazakhstan Vladimir Bozhko informed today during the government session, the agency reports.

Astana. February 19. Kazakhstan Today - The Ministry of Emergency of the Republic of Kazakhstan has warned Arcelor Mittal Temirtau Company of a possibility of withdrawal of subsoil use right. The Emergency Minister of Kazakhstan Vladimir Bozhko informed today during the government session, the agency reports.

"The owner of Abay mine has been warned that in case of non-acceptance of safety precautions the subsoil use right can be withdrawn," V. Bozhko said.

He reminded that the governmental commission created for investigation of the reasons of tragedy on Abay mine on January 11th of 2008 defined the officials of the mine, who have not provided safety of technological operations as well as the employer - General Director of Arcelor Mittal Temirtau Company, who has not created safety conditions for the works, the guilty for the accident.
