EurAsEC Presidents adopted Customs Union creation document

Astana. August 16. Kazakhstan Today - The Heads of EurAsEC member states adopted the document charging EurAsEC secretariat and three countries - Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus to accept complex of measures on formation of the Customs Union, stated at the joint press conference in Sochi following the results of negotiations, the agency reports referring to the President's press service.

According to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, "our ultimate goal is joining all EurAsEC member countries to the Customs Union.

The Leaders of the states support the idea of creation of the common power market within the community. The parties discussed the questions of development of hydro-power cooperation in Central Asia, and interactions in the field of atomic engineering. The Presidents of the states signed the decision of Uzbekistan restoration of CSTO membership.

"The result of this meeting became Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus coordination of 31 out of 38 documents creating basis for formation of the customs union. We are also working over WTO introduction. Kazakhstan and Russia have advanced in this process and will help other EurAsEC members," the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev emphasized.
