Expediency of construction of atomic power station in Kazakhstan to be considered in 2009

Astana. June 27. Kazakhstan Today - The question of expediency of construction of the atomic power station in Kazakhstan will be considered in 2009. The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bakhtykozha Izmukhambetov said on Monday during the selector government meeting, the agency reports.

"Upon the completion of feasibility report, the expediency of construction of the atomic power station will be considered in 2009," B. Izmukhambetov said.

Development of the feasibility report is expected to be finished in 2009. Thus, the cost of the feasibility report makes nearly 12 billion KZT.

B. Izmukhambetov emphasized that the question of construction of the atomic power station both in the south and in the north of Kazakhstan will be considered. "Construction of the atomic power station both in the south and in the north is not excluded.
