Export of Kazakhstan oil in I half of 2009 increased by 5.4 %

Export of Kazakhstan oil in I half of 2009 has increased by 5.4 % in comparison with the similar period of the last year. Director of Development of Petroleum Industry Department of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of Kazakhstan, Malik Salimgereev, informed.

Astana. July 13. Kazakhstan Today - Export of Kazakhstan oil in I half of 2009 has increased by 5.4 % in comparison with the similar period of the last year. Director of Development of Petroleum Industry Department of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of Kazakhstan, Malik Salimgereev, informed.

"Following the results of the first half of 2009, export of Kazakhstan oil has been 33.2 million tons, having increased by 5.4 % in comparison with the previous period. The main share is exported through the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) oil pipelines - 13.6 million tons, Atyrau - Samara - 8.6 million tons, Atasu - Alashankou - 2.5 million tons and through the port Aktau - 5.5 million tons," M. Salimgereev informed.

"Increase in prices for oil up to $60 per barrel will play a positive role for the oil industry of Kazakhstan with its export potential. "It is favorable for the oil-extracting companies that will increase of income of export of hydrocarbons.
