External assets of banks of second level reach $24.6 billion

Almaty. August 12. Kazakhstan Today - As of July 1, 2009, external assets of the Kazakhstan banks of the second level have totaled $24.6 billion and external liabilities - $32.2 billion, the press release of the National Bank of Kazakhstan informs, the agency reports.

"As of January - June, 2009, external assets of the banks have grown by $151 million and external liabilities of the banking sector have decreased by $5.9 billion. Thus, according to the monetary review, as of July 1, 2009, external assets of the banks have been $24.6 billion and external liabilities - $32.2 billion," the press release of the National Bank informs.
