February world oil extraction decreased by 0.7 %

Moscow. March 14. Kazakhstan Today - February world oil extraction in comparison with January decreased by 0.7 % (65 thousand barrels) a day, up to 85.5 million barrels. The international energy agency (IEA) monthly report states, the agency reports.

The prices for oil in February have risen over $60 per barrel due to deliveries reduction from OPEC countries. Growth of extraction in non-OPEC states in 2007 is predicted to reach the level of 1.1 million barrels per day, the growth outlined since the middle of 2006 proceeds.

Deliveries of crude oil from OPEC countries in February decreased by 125 thousand barrels per day, up to 30.2 million barrels. The forecast of growth of world demand for oil in 2007 remains constant - at the level of 1.8 %, up to 86 million barrels per day.
