Foreign trade turnover of Kazakhstan in January - April, 2009 reduced by 39.1 %

Foreign trade turnover of Kazakhstan in January - April, 2009 has been $19.2 billion and in comparison with the similar period of 2008 it has gone down by 39.1 %, the monthly report of the Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan informs.

Astana. June 24. Kazakhstan Today - Foreign trade turnover of Kazakhstan in January - April, 2009 has been $19.2 billion and in comparison with the similar period of 2008 it has gone down by 39.1 %, the monthly report of the Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan informs.

"Foreign trade turnover in January - April, 2009 has been $19.2 billion (in comparison with January, it has decreased by 39.1 % April, 2008), including export - $10.8 billion (by 49.8 %) and import - $8.4 billion (by 16.3 %). In January - April, 2009 traditionally significant share in commodity structure of export accounts for mineral products (70.8 %), import of automobiles, equipment, vehicles, devices and instruments (35.3 %), non-precious materials and products made of them (27.5 %)," the statistical report informs.

According to the Statistics Agency, export share in January - April, 2009 has been: with Italy - 14.5 %, China - 13.3 %, Switzerland - 12.6 %, Russia - 9 %, France - 7.9 %, the Netherlands - 4.1 %, Great Britain - 3.2 %, Ukraine - 3 %, Israel - 3 %, and Iran - 2.8 %.

Import share has been: with Russia - 29.9 %, China - 16.9 %, Ukraine - 8.5 %, Germany - 7.6 %, the USA - 5.9 %, Italy - 3.2 %, Japan - 2.6 %, Great Britain - 2.3 %, Turkey - 1.6 %, and France - 1.6 %.
