Fundamental motive forces of development of oil and gas sector remain unchanged

Despite a significant decrease of the oil prices, fundamental motive forces of development of oil and gas sector have remained unchanged. The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, said at the opening ceremony of IV Eurasian Energy Forum, the agency reports.

Astana. September 24. Kazakhstan Today - Despite a significant decrease of the oil prices, fundamental motive forces of development of oil and gas sector have remained unchanged. The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, said at the opening ceremony of IV Eurasian Energy Forum, the agency reports.

"The oil prices were approximately $100 per barrel in September, 2008. Now, we know that the price for oil has gone down," the Prime Minister said.

"Quantity of consumers in the world is one of motive forces."

"The industry, first of all, is founded on 1 billion consumers, who represent the middle class all over the world. Accordingly, all people demand more guarantees of economic and political security."
