Astana. October 21. Kazakhstan Today - The Executive Director of the International Energy Agency (IEA) Nobuo Tanaka called upon the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) not to reduce oil extraction not to slow down development of economy of such countries as China, India and Brazil, the agency reports referring to the information-analytical portal Oil of Russia.

"Provision of these countries with enough oil is an important element of maintenance of world economic prosperity," N. Tanaka said at the press conference in Paris.

"We believe that the present price level is still very-very high and the market lacks demand. In the end of the year if OPEC keeps the current level of oil extraction, we will have enough stocks and the situation in the market will calm down," the Russian site quotes IEA Director.

IAE chairman is convinced that decrease of oil extraction of OPEC can extend world economic recession.
