IEA increased forecast of oil world demand in 2011

The International Energy Agency (IEA) has increased its forecast of world demand for oil in 2011 by 300 thousand barrels in comparison with the previous forecast of 88.2 million barrels a day. IEA report published today states, the agency reports citing the information-portal Neft Rossii.

Almaty. October 13. Kazakhstan Today - The International Energy Agency (IEA) has increased its forecast of world demand for oil in 2011 by 300 thousand barrels in comparison with the previous forecast of 88.2 million barrels a day. IEA report published today states, the agency reports citing the information-portal Neft Rossii.

In comparison with 2010, demand for oil in the world in 2011 will grow by 1.5 %, or by 1.2 million barrels a day, due to the new evaluated data of the third quarter, especially in the non-OPEC member states.

IEA has forecasted world demand for oil at the level of 86.9 million barrels a day in 2010 that is by 2.1 million barrels more than in 2009.
