In what way taxes of Kazakhstan citizens are used - the research

Almost 60% of budget expenditures are directed to social security - this is social assistance, education and health care.
According to the results of the first two months of this year, 59.8% of the state budget expenditures of Kazakhstan were directed to social needs: social assistance and provision, education and healthcare - almost a trillion tenge, the analytical portal on business and finance Finprom.kz reported.

According to the research, the largest growth in key sectors-consumers of budgetary funds was recorded in the social assistance sector - by 19.8% per year. The largest increase in overall budget expenditures was shown by all kinds of transfers from the state budget - more than five times, to KZT6.7 bn. (This is only 0.4% of budget expenditures). Expenses on housing and communal services also increased 2.4 times, to 61.8 billion tenge.

In 2017, the total state budget expenditures amounted to 12.5 trillion tenge, which is 3.1 trillion tenge more than a year earlier. Over the past five years, the state budget expenditures have almost doubled, from 6.9 to 12.5 trillion tenge.

In the structure of the state budget revenues the main share is taken by tax revenues - 59% or 6.8 trillion KZT by the results of 2017.

At the end of last year, Minister of Finance of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov said that in 2018 the republican budget expenditures will amount to more than nine trillion tenge. In 2018, 292.6 billion tenge will be allocated for the development of transport infrastructure. To ensure the defense capability and security of the state, protect law and order and maintain internal stability, spending in 2018 will be directed to 1.09 trillion (in 2019 - 1.16 trillion tenge, in 2020 - 1.22 trillion tenge).

The deficit of the republican budget should be reduced relative to GDP from 1.1% in 2018 to 1.0% in 2019-2020, which will allow to keep the volume of public debt at a moderate level.
