Astana. November 25. Kazakhstan Today - The chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, Anvar Saydenov, informed that inflation in Kazakhstan will continue to decrease up to 7 - 9 % in 2010, the agency reports.

"In 2008, development of the macroeconomic situation in Kazakhstan has been determined by external factors - unprecedented slowing down of economic growth, decrease of the prices for raw materials, decline of business activity, and lack of liquidity. Besides the negative factors, there is also delay of inflationary process in many countries of the world. The situation in the consumer market of Kazakhstan demonstrates the beginning of the process of delay of inflation and reduction of inflationary pressure," A. Saydenov said.

"In August, 2008, annual inflation made 20 %, but as of October it does not exceed 14 %," he specified.

"This tendency will not only remain up to the end of the current year, but will also proceed in 2009. It will allow the National Bank to keep inflation at the level not exceeding 10 %, in 2009 - 7.5 - 9.5 %, and in 2010 - 7% up to 9 %," the chairman of the National Bank has continued.
