Kazakh-Estonian business forum kicks off in Astana

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Karim Massimov emphasized the necessity to continue long-term partnership.

Almaty. September 6. Kazakhstan Today - The Kazakh-Estonian business forum was opened in Astana today. Prime Ministers of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov and Estonia Andrus Ansip took part in the opening ceremony, Kazakhstan Today reports.

According to the Prime Minister's official website, prior to the forum, the Heads of Governments of Kazakhstan and Estonia held a bilateral meeting in the Ukimet Uyi and discussed the issues of strengthening of trade and economic cooperation.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Karim Massimov emphasized the necessity to continue long-term partnership.

"Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Estonia has been dynamic and fruitful over the recent years. Presently, the political dialogue at the high level is established. Bilateralcooperationisstrengthening. Asolidcontractuallegalframeworkservingasabasisforlog-termpartnershiphasbeenestablished," KarimMassimovsaid.

Prime Minister of Estonia Andrus Ansip, in his turn, said that Kazakhstan is one of the closest partners of Estonia in Central Asia.

"The trade turnover between our countries has doubled over the recent years. I hope our cooperation will dynamically develop in future," the Estonian Premier said.

Besides, A.Ansip told about the leading Estonian enterprises introducing green technologies and called on the businessmen of the two countries to strengthen and expand trade and economic cooperation.

Presently, 54 joint enterprises are functioning in the spheres of trade, finances and construction in Kazakhstan.
