Kazakhstan attracted $136 billion in foreign investments over 20 years of independence

"Over 20 years of its independence Kazakhstan has attracted $136 billion in foreign direct investment, half of them raised in the past three years. It demonstrates the economic attractiveness of the country despite the global economic crisis," - Aitzhanova said.

She also confirmed Kazakhstan's intention to join the World Trade Organization (WTO) next year.

"We are planning to join the WTO in 201 without significantly lagging behind Russia, that will join the organization before the end of this year," Aitzhanova noted.
