Kazakhstan delegation took part in annual IMF session in Singapore

Astana. September 22. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan delegation headed by the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economics and Budgetary Planning Karim Masimov participated in the annual meeting of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank which took place on September 15-21 in Singapore. Kazakh MFA press service informed the agency.

Kazakhstan delegation included the Minister of Finance Natalia Korzhova, the Chairman of the National Bank Anvar Saydenov, Deputy Chairman of the President's Administration Yerbol Orynbayev, the Chairman of Financial Control Agency Armand Dunayev, Almaty Financial Center Arken Arystanov, and the Chairman of the Fund of Steady Development Kazyna Kayrat Kelimbetov and Development Bank of Kazakhstan President Askar Sembin.

During the forum Kazakhstan delegation held a number of bilateral negotiations and meetings. K. Masimov met the Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Kuan Yew and the Director of Temasek Holdings Ho Ching and carried out negotiations with World Bank President Paul Wolfowitz, the Chairmen of the International financial corporation and IMF.

A. Sembin and the Chairman of Korea Development Bank governor, Kim Chang-lok signed memorandum of mutual understanding. According to the document, the parties agreed on mutual cooperation, information exchange and realization of joint projects in Kazakhstan.

According to the press-service, 11 thousand foreign participants took part in 140 seminars organized within the forum.
