Kazakhstan enters WTO jointly with Customs Union countries

Kazakhstan is entering World Trade Organization (WTO) jointly with the countries of the Customs Union. The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, informed at the session of the Council of Foreign Investors, the agency reports.

Kostanay. June 12. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan is entering World Trade Organization (WTO) jointly with the countries of the Customs Union. The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, informed at the session of the Council of Foreign Investors, the agency reports.

"We have agreed that we would stop the negotiation processes regarding WTO accession to make a joint bid with the Customs Union countries," N. Nazarbayev said.

As informed earlier, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, following the results of the session of the EurAsEC Interstate Council, of stated that Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus intend to carry on negotiations regarding WTO entry as a united customs union. Thus, WTO entry process will be carried out not by separate countries, but jointly as the union of three countries.

The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, informed that the united pool of three countries will be created in order to hold the negotiation with WTO, which will present the interests of Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus.
