Kazakhstan government forecasts economic growth rates not less than 5%

He said that "it is lower than primary forecasted indexes planned during the formation of the budget of 2008." "The budget of this year was formed and was directed to the Parliament during world economic prosperity, crisis-free pre-conditions," he underlined.

The Prime Minister noted that the government has not allowed growth of unemployment. "Kazakhstan financial system stood the test of the world crisis. The banks settle current foreign liabilities, none of the banks has admitted default on internal and external debts," K. Masimov said.

"There are no pre-conditions for system financial crisis in the country. The situation has been stabilized and we forecast its further improvement," the Prime Minister concluded.
